The four young gentlemen known collectively as 1000reasonswhy cease to be human beings when they hit the stage. They become a singular sonic entity with a sole purpose: an emotional purge of cosmic proportions, for them and the audience alike.
The relentless lyrical onslaught of Andy Lusk is constantly supported by a solid musical foundation that can be technically versatile and primitively simplistic at once. The driving melodic growls of David Cook's guitars are wrapped in a warm blanket of pounding rhythm, courtesy of bass player Adam Covell and the percussive tidal wave that is Andrew "Stix" Burgess.
The music they create is 100% heartfelt, stemming from pure feeling that builds within them, and is expressed through their musical outlets. Now able to be heard, these audible feelings mix together and spin around into a black hole, on the other side of which is a song. Rinse, repeat.
The energy at a show is palpable. From the opening notes to the closing chord, the crowd is always on its feet. Whether it be chanting along with a well known chorus, clapping or waving their hands in the air (like they just don't care), the music at a 1000reasonswhy concert is only half the fun.
They've developed a large following in the Petawawa/Pembroke area, and thanks to tremendous support via the internet, all over the world. They are currently expanding their sphere of influence outward, to regions like Ottawa and Toronto. They have been competing in battles at every turn, playing shows at every opportunity, and as of late, taking home award after award after award.
They are ever grateful for the love they receive from every fan and friend who downloads a song, buys a CD, comes to a show, or even says "You guys rock". There is no greater reward for an artist than to hear that his art is appreciated. Thank you, everyone. |
