Since 2002, 12 Summers Old has made the world their stage. They hail from the St. Louis suburb of Belleville, Illinois - a little town 15 minutes east whose biggest claim to fame is Stag Beer, Uncle Tupelo & Buddy Epson. While that’s not saying a lot, it’s more than most of the Midwest has to offer…… so back off!
A raucous romp from pop to hardcore, with vocal hooks that stick in your head for days. 12 Summers Old has managed to create a fresh sound without alienating anyone in the process. Songs penned on failed rock stars & failed relationships, all seem to have the same urgency that is both comfortable and familiar, yet somehow impossible to ignore. After four independent releases, numerous compilations and years of touring under their belts, 12 Summers Old shows no sign of slowing down now. They have managed to cultivate a loyal following and an energetic live show that balances on a fine line between sleaze rock and pop.
12 Summers Old has never lost their focus or the drive of creating something truly sincere. While I’m sure you have heard these statements a hundred different times about a hundred different bands, it’s that cliché itself that gives 12 Summers Old so much of its charm.
