“If Deep hasn’t spun at your east coast party, then he’s produced a track for one of your favorite independent artists… A notorious doctor of sampling, Deep – along with his fellow Hungry Brother Ben boogz- can surprise masses with rare flamenco samples or even a video game loop. The New York native’s beats are completely unpredictable, much like the night of your deflowering.” … Kathy Iandoli for Skope May-June 2007
“The album Frequent Flyers, compiled by accomplished producers, Deep and Ben Boogie, is a compilation of some songs by some of the best underground Mcees in New York. Frequent Flyers is for anyone who is a fan of good music and not of artists who box themselves in a carefully placed genre.”- Alex Clermont Beyond Race Nov/Dec 06
“Most of ya’ll know that the 2 Hungry Bros have got that heat when it comes to the beats. It’s only a matter of time before their payday comes.” Thug E. Fresh to Def Interboro Rock Tribune summer’06
“Plus Deep and Ben Boogie, the 2 hungry bros, hook the beats up lovely. There’s nothing that pisses me off more than an album that sounds pieced together. On Random Violence, the Bros keep that constant heat coming with ill samples, weird movie dialogue, and hard drums (not that high pitch keyboard shit) that keeps the album flowing without having to skip over any tracks.”- Advisor Interboro Rock Tribune Winter 07
“This album is truly outstanding. The production duties on this album are taken care of by a quality group of people: Luminary, Tonedeff, Fred ones, Blockhead, DEEP, and Blowout on the cuts.”-Fubz for Beautiful Decay Issue K (Many Styles album review)
DEEP AND BEN BOOGIE were resident DJs at New York City’s legendary NUYORICAN POETRY CLUB. They have traveled around the states with Artists LIFE LONG & FRESH DAILY. They are two producers raised in the L.E.S. (pre-gentrified) who call themselves the 2 Hungry Bros. They’ve been friends since the 1st grade. They’ve produced break through hits for artists Lodeck, Many Styles, Shorty Black, LIFE LONG, & Fresh Daily. Their 1st ever full length album.
