| 3 Blind Mice are a Man Band from London, England. As individuals, prior to mousedom, they�d toured and recorded with Thomas Dolby, George Michael, Swing Out Sister, Go West, Squeeze, Level 42, Tom Robinson, David Sylvian, The Human League, Nik Kershaw, Prefab Sprout, Peter Blegvad, Joe Cocker, Sinead O�Connor, Oleta Adams, Julian Cope, Bananarama, Robbie Williams.... the list goes on.
At the heart of 3 Blind Mice are 2 lead singers playing acoustic guitar (Alex Grayson) and keyboards (Lyndon J Connah), often augmented by drums, bass and saxophone. The sound evokes the spirit of The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and, equally, Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan. Little Richard and Stephen Sondheim also make an appearance. Great 3-part harmonies, a little reminiscent of Crosby Still & Nash; lyrics from strange dark places with bright sunshine bursting through every crack; music from a past, or a future, where bands think not of fashion but of borrowing from everywhere and everyone and creating a magic all their own. Oh, and there's not much rapping in it. |
