| "quick-stepping rhythms, buzzsaw riffs and whopping great hooks... a very promising debut”- Kerrang! Magazine (KKKK)
Formed out of boredom, frustration and a deeply held belief that it is still possible to make a difference with a smile on your face, 3dBs Down began to surface from sunny Gravesend in June 2001.
With Influences ranging from The Wildhearts & The Smashing Pumpkins through to The Clash & The Beach Boys via NOFX, Less Than Jake and everything else in between, the mix comes out as a punk/rock/ska sound with some serious twists along the way.
The three pronged vocal attack, resulting from the refusal to limit themselves to a lead singer and their love of rocking, skanking and throwing in pop harmonies whenever possible, results in catchy and energetic tunes that carry a darker and metallic edge.
Recent gigs included supporting The B-Movie Heroes, Howards Alias, Captain Everything and 4ft Fingers, 3dbs Down are fast becoming a household name. Add to this the rave reviews of their debut self released full length album, ‘Bottom of the Learning Curve’, as well as being one of the few unsigned bands to be given airplay on BBC Radio 1 and the future looks bright for 3dbs Down
3dBs Down released their second album, Can of Worms, in June 2005 through On The Road Records. Since then they've toured the country and picked up a host of fantastic album reviews along the way. Check the press page for more.
