4"Stud (Four Inch Stud) was born when Damian David and Stevie Gold recognized the complimentary nature of their guitar styles and joined forces to create a melodic and innovative dual guitar attack. With the driving rhythm section of Bill Jarry and Dan Sousa, the band has exploded onto the Boston music scene with their debut, self-titled album in 2006.
"The Sticker Album", as fans dubbed it, has sold over 45,000 units globally and received critical praise across the spectrum from local to national publications, like The Noise, Modern Drummer, VH1, Keith and The Girl, iSound.com, and the Metro to name a few.
4"Stud has licensed several songs, including "SUV Girl", "After", "Beating", and "Vegas" to two independent films and one online series, and their rock version of "The Super Mario Brothers Theme" is a crowd favorite.
With a fanbase built from hundreds of live shows, 4"Stud has played everywhere from the Boston Finals of the Emergenza Music Festival at the Paradise, where they finished 5th out of 128 bands, to a music showcase by Hitachi at the Hard Rock Cafe in Denver.
The band has recently been in the studio recording their latest creation, The Time Bomb EP, for release at the Middle East in Cambridge in January 2009.
