Biography

5 Corners began when 2 incredibly young and talented musicians, Ryan McFadden and Mike Markivee, went on a mission. A mission from God, if you will. This mission, which they chose to accept, was one of great importance, as the Creator of the Universe Himself, sent these two young lads, an acoustic guitarist, and a drummer, personally. Their mission was to assemble an elite group of finely tuned qualified musicians, to create the perfect musical ensemble. Their search began with an electric guitar player. for weeks and weeks did they search, but no such luck. the two young lads sat. and sat they did. but suddenly a shimmer of light appeared on the horizon, and a star was formed. The Young Jake Page finished their search, by gracing them with their presence. and on they went. next, to acquire a bass player. one of utmost necessity. this "perfect bass player" had to be unique, funky, delicate, smooth, quick, and original. but sadly, even with their standards set so low, they failed in their quest to acquire said bass player. But one day, while attending a Minor League baseball game, Mike spotted something in the distance. "Could it be!?!?" he proclaimed. "YES!!! YES IT IS!!!" the trio announced joyously. The bass player of their dreams was hovering a large arrangement of brightly colored clouds, descending from the heavens. Mike ran forward to greet the stranger. "Bass Player, please grant me your name" Mike said eagerly. the Bass player replied "My name, oh honorable drummer, is that of Jacob Emge the magnificent." Furious by the complete lack of uniqueness, Jake Page threw his ax into the air and shot lightning bolts into every direction. "NO!!!" he exclaimed triumphantly. "Two cannot have the same name, and be assembled into this finely tuned musical ensemble." Quickly, Mike used his Ad-Libbing powers to resolve the conflict. "i have concocted a solution to this act of conflictingness. Jake Page, since you are young, and rather small in size, you shall be called Diet Jake. and Jacob Emge, since you are older, and are rather larger in body mass, you shall be known as Classic Jake." and from that moment on, peace reigned throughout the land. until...
"Guys, we still have to complete the assembling of this wonderful Musical Ensemble." Ryan stated proudly. So on they went. in search for the final piece of their puzzle: a Vocalist. Knowing that this would be the hardest part in their quest, the 4 young men split up, hoping to cover more ground. with no luck, the 4 musicians regrouped, and sat. sat they did. when finally..."hey guys, i just remembered an old friend of mine..." Mike said anxiously. Mike immediately sent telepathic waves to this mysterious being. and without a moments hesitation, this mysterious being honored the musicians presence. "do not bow to me. for i am only a mere Vocalist in search of a finely tuned qualified band to sing with." the Vocalist said. The other musicians patted Mike on the back, and congratulated him on such a good finding. the Vocalist introduced himself as Greg Berra. the 5 young musicians each placed their hand into the center of their circle, and God Himself descended from the Heavens. "Well done, good and faithful ones." God spoketh. "I now rest the fate of the musical world, into the hands of you finely tuned qualified musicians. Good Luck." and with that, God ascended back into the Heavens, and bestowed onto the boys, the equipment necessary to complete their destiny.
and such, 5 Corners was born. bringing joy and Musical peace all throughout the land.
