DJ Nyne Millz, who's real name is Shiver DeSante Bruce, was born in Ft. Stuart, GA on March 25, 1992. Raised in a military family. He has 6 sisters and 3 brothers. DJ Nyne Millz was exposed to many cultures and places because his mother and father did 22 years in the army; both of them did 22 years.
In 2000, his parents retired from the army in New Orleans, La. He grew up in New Orleans East (in the 9th Ward).
His uncle, the founder and Ceo of 3P Entertainment, owned a local record label. Through his uncle's signed artists he learned how write, record, and produce music at the age 14. But was a DJ since he was 12.
In August of 2005, DJ Nyne Millz was forced out of New Orleans becuase of Hurricane Katrina. During the moving process, DJ Nyne Millz and his family began to travel the East Coast. DJNM was exposed to alot of different types of people. From blacks, to whites, to mexicans, to gothics. He met them all, and some encounters were for the first time.
He currently resides in Richmond, Va and is the co-founder of 5PointNyne.
5PointNyne was created by DJ Nyne Millz and Lil Juv in the summer of '07. There many artists in Varina High School. Some rappers, some singers, and even break/crump dance crews. DJNM and LJ created 5PointNyne to bring these different artists together. Some projects include "Knock 'Em Down" "Cap City Souljaz" and "Tha Introduction."
DJ Nyne Millz is currently working on his newest project. He has a meeting with Capitol Records on Dec. 20 and needs to put together his official first single. He has alot of creative artists under him supporting him. He has alot of family supporting him. And he has alot of loyal friends supporting him. Deidre Jones (Bam)always had a love for music. She would playfully rap with friends and used music as an escape, but never expected to get anywhere. Until her sophmore year in high school she met DJNyneMillz (president of 5pointnyne). She was introduced to his music and soon became a member of 5pointnyne; as well as other like Lil Juv and etc. They started off recording in Djnynemillz room, and now 5pointnyne is working on bigger projects
