| “[5th Man Down] are loud, anthemic, and bloody good in all honesty.” – Gigs Unlimited
5th Man Down are four guys based in South London who happen to sound like Led Zeppelin brawling with the A-Team. Their style has been likened to artists such as Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, Tool, Soundgarden and Incubus, combining raging rhythms and huge riffage with powerful, emotional and melodic vocals.
The band was formed in its current line-up in 2000, and the band has achieved much in the subsequent years, including a short tour in the USA, playing the Bloodstock metal festival as the opening band for Saxon, releasing their debut album, producing two music videos, and playing many concerts all across the UK to enthusiastic audience receptions. The band’s live show speaks volumes about them, obviously people who love what they do.
The band’s debut album, “Are We Harmless?”, a wide-ranging and powerful mix of contemporary rock songs, was released via Copro/Casket in June 2004, and has met with enthusiastic reviews across the board.
"[5th Man Down's] performance was truly amazing... They really commanded the stage and won over the audience in next to no time" - Bloodstock review, www.prettiesforyou.de |
