| The band originally was started by Laurence (loz) and Chris. They used to play with 2 other musicians, Laith on guitar and George on the drums. They played one gig together and then the band didn’t play much. Chris and loz then went solo and found Alex, much more talented drummer with a lot more experience than George. Loz, Chris and Alex who played together at numerous after school events such as floor spots, they did this for around 4 months. The band then came across Edd how had been looking for a band to play in. After a maths lesson the deal was done, Edd then became the 4th member.
The band then began to write songs, 8 Days a Week had written a few shorter numbers but now was the time for full-length songs, 'we would meet up and say anyone got any riffs'? We would then find a basic riff and expand on it ,diamonds for example, we then work on the order of the songs and its done.
As we grew we felt that we should overcome one for our major problems, the lack of a singer. We were friends with a guy called Scott who we knew was a gifted singer. This prompted us to ask Scott if he wanted to sign for us, lucky he said yes.We started to play at lunch times and were ‘talent spotted and were begged to play in the school show, this was also the first time Scott had sung over us playing!
