Josh Pierce remembers the first time he sang in front of a large crowd in church in his hometown Glendale Arizona. Born in Battle Creek, Michigan in March of 1981 his grandfather always said he had a "knack for music". Able to keep a beat at the young age of 4 he became very interested in music. He started singing in the church childrens choir and eventually joined the school band playing the trumpet. Over the years his music continually progressed and began to flourish. At the age of 20 he joined the United States Marine Corps but kept his music a priority in his life. After being discharged he began to rodeo on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Sierra Circuit in California. During the rides to the rodeo and even before his ride he continued to keep his pad and pencil close by. Now at the age of 25 and after playing in numerous bars throughout Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, and Avondale he traveled to The Cavern recording studios to record his first single titled "Friends Before Lovers". The song was written by a close friend of Josh's and he believes strongly in the message it sends. His passion is his music and continues to drive him to push further into his career. Hopefully with a little luck and his passion his name will become a household name in Country Music and launch him into a new level in his career. The Tracks on the Album were laid by reputable Nashville Artists such as:

SLAM Magazine - Josh Pierce shows us on his first single "Friends before Lovers" that he has what many county stars are missing today. He has the sound, and the voice that seems to be lacking in so much of the genre today, not to mention emotion. You can tell by his voice that he feels what he is singing about, not just reciting words off of a page.
Forgoing the "pop" sounds of many artists today that call themselves country, Josh goes back to the roots of what true country is, sounding closer to Hank Jr. or even Mearle Haggard, adding a touch of the modern, without sounding dated. He could still play with today's greats, or share the stage with the artists that influenced him.
Josh Pierce comes across on "Friends before Lovers" as a shot in the arm for what Country & Western has lacked lately. Skillfully played songs that force your to tap your foot and sing along.
Chris Canella of Autumns End - A Modern Day Mearle Haggard with that Johnny Cash attitude.
