| In the begining, there was Chris Ross, God in the eyes of the band. And he was good. Starting as a jam band from Hickory High School, Cab 19 (softly)rocked places like Java Junction for a while, with members Wayne Butler (Rhythm Guitar), Alex Morales (Drums), and Jon Freese (Lead Guitar). And it was good. But seeing a need to expand their musical awesomeness, Wayne switched to vocals, and Bobby Cummings was recruited to play rhythm guitar. And it was better. But there was still something missing. It was found in the form of Alex Denney and his bass guitar skills. And Justin (Keys). So they played some parties, Justin blew up Denny's amp, ran away to college, and Denny swore revenge. Later, missing the strings beneath his fingers, Wayne decided to pick up his guitar again, and Bobby graciously stepped down. Jon also left the band and lead guitar was picked up by Ben Mosher. A guy named Josh, who had a deep voice, sang for a while, but the band decided that the singing prowess of Alex, Denny, and Wayne combined would be enough. To replace the keyboardest lost long ago, Ed Bennett entered the fray. Together they formed a band the likes of which had never been seen, and they called themselves Cab 19. No, Humanity's Radio. No, Cab 19. No, The Dark Romantics, A Darker Romance, For Want of a Reason. No, wait, okay, they called themselves: A Darker Romance! For sure! A while later, they got an offer from New Dead Radio to tour with them, and Denny had to think more for the band than himself, and valiently steped down as bassist for ADR after playing one last show and recording an album (which they didn't do). So they got Gabe. Then it turned out Gabe was no match for Alex, and no tour happened anyway, so Alex came back. Ed left for some reason. But the band stayed strong. And playing shows, sometimes along with God himself, in the form of the Chris Ross Experience, they rocked everywhere and anytime! And yes, it was very, very good. |
