| The band was formed in Toronto after members of a previous band, Ficus, Quit For musical differences. Aaron Daniels and Josh Mcintyre decided to start a new band that was heavier, more complex and more emotional. Aaron and Josh decided to get Joe Roth and two other members Evan and Mark to join the band. However, The rest of the band decided to give mark the old boot because he was not commited. Later that year Evan joined a band called Downview, he was clearly more commited to Downvew so we also gave him the old boot. The Band was now down to Aaron, Josh, and Joe, so they picked up the brother of Joe: Michael Roth. Then they needed a new drummer so asked previous Ficus member Vaughn Jacobek. The band was Ready to Be Unleashed to the world.
A Poetic Tragedy are a hardcore band with influences from many bands from different genres. APT combine upbeat Bass lines by Joe Roth, pulse pounding Guitar riffs by Josh McIntyre, fast pased Guitar riffs by Michael Roth, Gut wrenching screams by Aaron Daniels and intense drums lines by Vaughn Jakobek. The band are looking forward to recording there EP in August.
