With an array of artists emerging by the second, it is often difficult to distinguish yourself from the competition. Songwriter, singer, producer, actor, model, author and college student, Aaron Reevey, however, has had no problem doing so.
In an industry where every male R & B or hip-hop artist is trying to be the next Michael Jackson, Tupac or Jay-Z, Aaron Reevey is only trying to be Aaron Reevey.
He offers a unique perspective of the industry. "A lot of these guys are trying to follow the footsteps of other people, but you have to be yourself. As a songwriter I write music that people can relate to, a lot of these guys go into the studio and produce something that sounds manufactured and similar to the next artist. I'm trying to do something positive with actual depth and artistic merit. But I also have those fun records about nothing in particular. I can rap, I can sing. It comes quite natural for an artist of my caliber."
