| Accolade are based in Bradford, UK. The band has an accomplished sound built on the varied influences of the band members but unique enough for it to lie within a number of genres from indie to rock to pop with ‘sometimes-funkier’ moments rather than been pinned to one genre. The music the band creates is always driven by melody and contains a high lyrical standard. With a diverse range of styling within their own sound, the bands repertoire expands weekly with rock numbers to blues and ballad numbers. The band pride themselves on accomplished musical performances to accompany their polished songs and with the experience of entertaining large crowds many bands will never get the opportunity to perform to, a confident and vivacious live performance. An arousal of interest from major labels Polydor, Parlophone, Virgin and EMI not to mention smaller labels such as Roadrunner in the USA brought about the completion of the new 3-track demo. With requests from all the mentioned record labels being fulfilled, the band look squarely at promotional and live events to build on their growing fan base whilst they await a possible response from any one of the labels. With a great deal of their publicity and popularity being owed to the Internet; primarily this is where the majority of the promotion and organisation will be occurring in the near future. A successful website has heralded upwards of 1000 new visitors a month, a number on the increase all the time, it has proven a great source of news for fans and the industry alike. The Band’s live experience is diverse ranging from smaller prestigious venues such as The Cavern (Liverpool) The Garage (London) Josephs Well (Leeds) through to festival appearances at Bradford and “Woutstock” Lazio, Italy where the band has performed for audiences breaking through the 20,000 mark. With live appearances and interviews on BBC Radio and reviews and articles in the local press, the popularity of the band steadily grows primarily in the local area but also has attracted attention from further a field in London, Scotland and Germany. Accolade’s tracks from the recent 3 track demo have been added to local radio stations unsigned band play lists and notably, ‘Pulse Unsigned’ (accessible on SKY TV) has added the band’s music to their repertoire...
