Paul Daniel Frehley was borned in 27.
April 1951. He got his nick name in school, he was an "Ace" with women. He met his wife Jeanette in 1970, when he was 19 years old. He answered an add in "Village Voice" where Gene(Born: Chaim Witz,1949), Paul (Born:Stanley Harvey Eisen,1952)and Peter (Born:Peter George John Crisscoula,1945) were looking for "a guitarist with flash and balls". Ace walked to the studio wearing
one read and one orange sneaker. Gene
first thought that a bum had came in from the street, but he had a guitar. Ace plugged in his guitar and started playing. Others got angry because of Ace's rudeness and almost throught him out. Anyway,he was the only one to be asked back for another audition. The first song they played together was
"Deuce". Ace and Gene are still thinking that song is the best of KISS.
For the first album's cover Ace had spray-painted his hear silver, he thought it could be washed off.It didn't. On second album's cover half of his face was super-imposed, because he riped it in a small crash he and his car had with a telephone pole. Actually, everyone but Gene were drunk in the shot and they had to lock Paul inside the car, so he could pass out without hurting himself. His influences were Jeff Beck, The Who, Rolling Stones and other 70's rock-groups. He married Jeanette in -76.
They have one doughter, Monique Frehley.
Ace got involved many car-accidents and
had alcohol- and drugproblems. He had to leave the group in Dec.-82, but he contiuned with the music and had his own band Frehley's Comet in the 80's.
Around the succeful reunion he had some plastic surgery done to his face. He
wasn't as good as in the early days, but
he still is my favourite member.
