Growing up, I had one dream, and one dream only – to be Batman. The older I get, the more I realize that my chances of becoming the Dark Knight are rather slim. For one, I have no money, and Bruce Wayne had billions of dollars. Also, I’ve never been in a fight. And what can you know about yourself if you’ve never been a fight? However, I do live two lives of sorts. By day, I am a college professor. But by night, I am a brooding singer/songwriter, stalking the streets of New York City with my piano in tow. Actually, I don’t have my piano in tow, because that would be impractical. But I am brooding.
Recently, I released two new EPs. The first EP - Thank God He Didn't Make You A Fan, was self-produced and recorded with some bass/drums assistance from my friends in Pennsylvania and Vermont. While that record was off being mastered/packaged, I decided it would probably be lonely when it was ready for release. So, I put together a second EP - Good Times Were Had By All - recorded all by my lonesome in my Manhattan apartment. Both EPs are available for immediate download on iTunes . Hard copies of Thank God He Didn't Make You A Fan can be ordered here.
Currently, I am in the process of putting together some shows to support the new EPs with dates planned on the east coast, and possibly a few on the west coast and in the UK. In between road trips, I will be back in the studio continuing work on my debut full-length double album to be released in Spring 2008.
