Aethellis takes the forms and feel of classic progressive rock and incorporates a contempary rhythmic feel.
The eponymously titled Aethellis album was recorded in 2002-2003 with Ellsworth Hall on keys, vocals and guitar. He recruited former bandmates for live performances:
guitarists/vocalists Mark Van Natta and Chris Marks, bassist Erik Marks, and drummers Mike Harrington and Jim Reid.
Aethellis was listed from June '03 through March '04 in the Best Bands of the Week - Progressive Rock and Progressive Metal E-Zine
The song "Hubris" from the Aethellis album remained in the Broadjam.com Progressive Rock Top 10 chart for 6 months, debuting at #1 on March 23, 2003. It also appeared in the Maryland (#1), Mid-Atlantic (#5), and Rock (#7) Top 10 charts.
