| Afferent started in the summer of 2003 as a small acoustic project between two friends, John (lead vocals/guitar) and Andrew (guitar/backup vocals). Together, the two wrote several songs acoustically, but they then decided that the songs needed more depth of sound. In the fall of that year, they added the third member, Joe (drums/backup vocals). From there all they needed was a bassist. Soon thereafter they found Nick (bass/backup vocals) and the band was complete.
From the first practice they knew they had something good. After only two months the band was ready to record, and played it's first few shows. They recorded a 4 song EP they entitled "The Accumulation of a Thousand Wasted Saturday Nights" and began their promotion.
As of now, the four guys have been writing song after song and trying to vary their sound as much as possible. They're looking to record a full length album in the near future and are constantly looking for new shows. |
