| The Afghan Music Project (AMP) is a mixed media social venture which aims to raise awareness of Afghan culture. Proceeds from the AMP album will go towards funding music educational opportunities for Afghan children, particularly young women.
AMP was recorded at the Radio Killid Studio in Kabul, Afghanistan in Summer 2005. The album was produced by Adam Gouttierre and Chris Becherer, both graduate students at UC Berkeley.
The project was made possible by the Center for Afghanistan Studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Clausen Center at the University of California at Berkeley.
