different styles of music to substitute emo.
According to all the emos i've talked to
that have denied the band they like is emo,
THERE IS NOT ONE EMO BAND IN THE WORLD.
Taking back Sunday isn't emo.. Fall Out
Boy isn't emo.. My Chemical Romance, the
used. It's pathetic. Is it embarassing or
something to admit that a band you like is
emo. And i still wanna know if he's gay.
Thats the only reason i got linked to this
forum. And once again, it's not that
disrespectful to ask if a celebrity is gay.
If he was that unopen about his sexuality
then it's a fair bet that he wouldn't
act and dress the way does cause that seems
that if he is gay then he's very open

music genres anymore and they are all mixed.

maybe the "emos" that you
talked to are just little scene kids that are
15 and are following the newest trend. they
dont know anything about music. they forget
that emo is a style of music from the early
to late 90s and its not a fashion style.

i agree with you, there are no emo bands in
the mainstream today. the media and record
executives have distorted the meaning of the
word emo and now people believe that any
music that has dark lyrics or lyrics about a
relationship is emo. their ignorance is
painful

no, its just that AFI isnt emo. like i said
earlier, none of the mainstream bands today
are emo. and its not like emo is a bad thing,
there are actually some pretty good emo bands
out there, you just have to look for them.

davey has been asked hundreds of times about
his sexuality, he has never given an answer.

someone a question that they have made it

you, bands that don’t exist can be pretty
good ay? And Davey is keeping it personal. I
never said that he HAS to tell us. I was only
curious whether he was gay or not. And if you
read what I said, then you could clearly see
why I was commenting in an AFI thingy. And
I’m so sad wasting my time saying all this
stuff. What kind of a stupid thing to say is
that? You’re so sad wasting your time telling
me how I’m so sad as well.. In fact everyone
whose said anything here is so sad wasting

emos. Not only have they converted a style of
music to a type of human being, but they’re

whether you call them scene kids or real

I never said that I deserve to know if he’s

meaning of emo is. 50% of that dont consider

broken up, but there are some still around.

I know what emos are. They are a pathetic
bunch of losers who try to convince
themselves that they have dark and suicidal
feelings and are emotional people. Well wtf,
everyone has emotions. Since when does being
emotional mean you’re an emo. Emo guys have
to realise that there’s a difference between
having emotions and acting like a female.
They’re main theme is that they don’t wanna
be just like everyone else and conform to
what everyone else is like. How hypocritical
is that.. “Oooh I’m an emotional person, I
think I’m gonna dye my hair black and get an
emo fringe and wear eyeliner. Oh wait, all
the other people who are emotional do the
same thing”. It’s a load of shit, they’re the
biggest conformists of anyone. Let me guess
I’m gonna get accused of stereotyping. Well I
honestly don’t care because I don’t think
there’s an explanation about emos I can
possibly describe where I won’t be accused of
stereotyping so I guess I’m used to it. And I
choose to use insults instead of words
sometimes (especially when I argue with
arabs/ pro arabs :D). I can argue properly if
I want but I tend to keep proper arguing for
proper arguments like political and
historical arguments. And using insults
doesn’t mean I’m too immature to argue
properly. If I used only insults and didn’t
back up any of my insults then that would

As being a bixsexual person myself I can tell
you better than anyone in here that is saying
that AFI is not gay is mostly wrong. Some of
you say it is disrespectful to ask and to
some it is but you know what if the lead
singer did not have something to hide he
would go and tell people that he was not gay.
If he refuses to say it than it is obvious
that he is hiding it and is afraid to come
out. I would know I have been in this
situation before. And for anyone who is
straight if someone would ask you if you are
gay and you really aren't, of course you
are going to say no. You aren't going to
be like "Oh yea well I do not feel
comphortable saying this" because that

wow i have read this whole argument and i
pretty much agree with this emohater he has
some very good argument and he does
stereotype but it's mostly true about
these "emo" kids...i think that
most of them are just trying to be excepted
into some sort of group or are just trying to
follow the newest trends but it dosn't

Well, let's see.
First off, I'd like to say that the
question chacha asked was "Is AFI
gay?"
Therefore, they wanted to know whether the
band as a whole [and not Davey alone] were a
gay group.
The answer is no.
1) Hunter and Adam are straight, tis a known
fact.
2) Jade is straight, has a lovely model
girlfriend named "Marissa
Festa" whom I envy very much.
3) And lastly, many people argue about
Davey's sexuality. Although it hasn't
been confirmed about what his sexual
preferences are, Jade had posted a blog
stating, "No, Davey is not gay or
bi..." So though it is unknown, we
know he is not gay or bi.
