Drum and percussion music group AFRODIZIJAK was formed in November 2002 in the city of Banja Luka, in a small Balkan country Bosnia and Herzegovina. We started exploring and learning about drums and percussions, African music and lifestyle, culture and habits. We were delighted finding so many music differences, but at the same time, so many human similarities between our people. Furthermore, we collected a lot of positive energy and experiences in creating specific cultural expression, in order to spread peace, love and music, wherever we can. Indeed, all of this would not be possible without our friend Toni Pesikan, exquisite percussionist from Sarajevo, who gave us initial steps, knowledge and very first instruments for further exploring (Special THNX).
Uniqueness in Afrodizijak music is a fusion of various music styles, from traditional and old classics to modern hip-hop and house beats, by using only voices and traditional African and Latin drums and percussions.
