The After Hour was officially born in the Summer of 2004. For two and a half years, Ryan Fitzgerald, Pete Giza, Paul Ventresca, and Chris Roland had been together and experimenting with original music. Later that year, however, Matt Benoit was recruited as the band's lead singer and frontman. More recently, the band has acquired a new bassist, Walther Greineder and is currently in the process of producing an EP.
