Against One of The State Killers specialise in aggressive, melodic guitar music intelligently mixed together with harmonised vocals. The Glasgow band’s disparate influences (MUSE, At The Drive In, Zepp) can be heard in their live show where many new friends and admirers have been gained in the past 6 months of gigging in Central Scotland. The Cathouse, G2, Barfly and the SoundHaus are some of the band’s regular stops and ventures further afield are planned during the spring and into the busy festival season.
2005’s ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’ ep saw the band capturing their raw live sound in a studio setting, and proved popular when it was made available at live shows. Building on this initial success, a new self-produced debut album is in the works and is set for release in Spring/Summer 2006.
Against One of The State Killers are: Mal Dent (vocals/guitar), Al Jamieson (guitar/vocals), Doug Dennis (drums) and Iain Jamieson (bass/vocals) |
