Coming from all kinds of backgrounds. Influences are everything from Slayer & Sabbath to DRI & Disturbed to S.O.D. & Scorpions with a whole lot of bullshit mixed in! Keith played guitars and Bryan played drums for an established band called Countless Times of Abuse, better known as CTA. Playing all over San Diego county and having airtime on a radio station in San Diego called Rock 105.3. Drew had some band time with The Substance as a drummer but has now become an established singer for ATW. This is the first band that Dustin have been in but you wouldn't know it by his great bass playing ability. Ron played guitars with Keith in another band called Sublimity about 8yrs ago. That band had some good local success. Ron has also been with some other bands as well as Keith and Bryan being in other bands. Most of the guys have been playing for 20+yrs, mostly in metal bands. Natives of San Diego and proud of it, most of the shows have been in S.D. with a
few exceptions. ATW has a good following already and is looking to break through to the main stream scene when they release their long awaited CD in early 2006.
The friendship that ATW has with it's members will almost ensure a solid ride to the top of their game. Most have known each other for over 20yrs and have had a good repore with each other ever since. Over the years they have kept in contact with each other and have had some jam time every once and a while.
With all them together now as ATW, the band has a familiar sound with all the nastiness you would expect from a hardcore metal band while keeping the new kids happy with outrageous thrash. A relentless band with a lot of attitude and care for the making of original style metal music. This band can be slow with melodic power chords and then change into a punk band in a heart beat. The style is somewhat abscured with all the different styles the members grew up with. The best way to explain the style of this band is an original "MetalCore" band. ATW plays many kinds of metal music but most of all it's Metal to the core. |
