Since the band \"the Agony Scene\" fromed in late 2002,the hype has gone up about this dark band.The Agony Scene is orignally from Tulsa,Oklahoma were everything came together to create this unique band.When Vocalist Micheal williams guitarist Chris Emmons,guitarist Steven Kay, Drummer Brent masters and Bassist Brian hodges met, they origanlly came together to just jam on their instrumemts as friends do, but when vocalist Micheal williams suggested that they start a band,the rest weren't too crazy at the time,nor had they given it any real though to it.But it wasn\'t long before they agreed to start a band.Soon they became good enough that the would be invited to come on tour with bands such as AsILayDying,Norma Jean,Beloved,and Demon Hunter and later on other tours such as the warped tour with Svenged Sevenfold.
In mid 2003, they released their first self-titled debut album \"The Agony Scene\" under their now former label SolideState Records(www.Solidstate records.com),later when they began touring their fanbase grew.late in the spring of 2004 they switched to Roadrunner Records(www.roadruner records.com)and their popularity grew even more from there. critics have always had their debouts that the band would sound like all the other major bands out there, but their predictions were wrong.Sounding like bands such as Slipknot and Extol, their image was the main attraction,With a goth/death metal look you might think that their look influened their music, but it\'s the oher way around,The image they created was from their music helped the band alot. thanks to their Deathly but melodically fast sound their popularity has grown and with such continuous touring their popularity will continue to grow. |
