Airspace frontman Alyn Stuart and lead guitarist Jimmy Brown hail from the troubled streets of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Combining with a dynamic American rhythm section, John Coogan (bass) and Alex Watson (drums), Airspace connect to create a live chemistry and sound that has quickly garnered new fans at each performance. Drawing comparisons to U2, the Beatles, and Radiohead, Airspace is fueled by a rare hunger and conviction ....crafting songs that seem at once ground-breaking and classic.
Until now the band has been relatively unknown outside of their Myspace presence (old profile crashed; new one now up!). Currently touring the Eastern U.S. and the U.K. behind their first recording, the Airspace EP, the band is no longer a secret. In the past month the band has been interviewed by and received airplay on Atlanta's WRAS Album 88.5, BBC Ulster Radio, BBC Across The Line, and Northern Ireland's Downtown Radio (DTR).
The new 7-song release was recorded this past August at the renowned Ardent Studios in Memphis with producer John Hampton (REM, Raconteurs, The Replacements,...). Airspace will be back at Ardent recording again in February!
Check them out online, order their EP, go see them play live....
