We All Want To Be Accepted
Everyone wants to be accepted in this world. As I cruised through the genres I began to realise that, in a more real way. We express ourselves as individuals in a hope that we will be accepted by many. As a child I searched for those who felt the way I did, and found those who sang like James Taylor, Odis Redding. James Brown, and PERCY SLEDGE to be close to the way I feel. I try now to do that for others, and I am starting to pick out songs from my vast half written and unwritten catalog. I hope to do some more ballads, as those have been missed by my friends. I would love to hear comments about the songs here. It would help me make some final decisions on the new selection. Back to writing
I am now back to writing and working on FLIES DANCE. The original Flies IN THE PUDDIN was done by me in the form it's in because my fingers get locked and I had to give up the guitar. I took the synth, my harmonica, and voice, and decided to write in a different way. I wanted to write something original, that started with dance and ended with blues, Teckno Blues. When I write, my ideas come in threes. I usually pick the best one and move on, but I want to own this style and beat. This time I'm going to have guest artist, so I'll keep in touch. Is it the more original the song, the harder it is to be heard ? I'm curious.
