Kolt From Alameda Road:
All of us grew up in the small town of Holdenville, OK.
Throughout our high school days we didn't have much to do with each other. We were all sort of from a different crowd.
After High School we moved our own ways: I went off to Tulsa, Boone to Okmulgee, and Bryan to Ada.
Somehow we all found our way to Ada and the events that follow brought the birth of Alameda Road.
In early December I contacted Boone about starting a band.
Initially wanting to start a Rock band we set out on a search for some great players.
One day in January we started to think about music styles and what we really loved. Red Dirt was the key. A music style that most everyone can relate to, Feel good, have a good time, with a great mix of outlaw feel to it Country. This was a genre that not only has country accents but rock and blues as well.
It was decided. That's where this band was going.
In Late January, Boone (aka Bronco) brought Bryan over to play guitar with us. I had not cared much for Bryan in the past but when I heard him sing he was in.
Finally in February we found Frankie. One of the best drummers I have ever met. The Band was Set! Alameda Road came to be!
Since then we started opening for local bands and trying to get our name out. Some of the Bands that have helped us: Fat Dixie, Turnpike Troubadours, Local Neighborhood Outlaws and our good friends The Ordinary Outlaws.
On April 8th we cut our first studio EP, and have scheduled dates to play in Kansas, Texas, and most of Oklahoma.
We are Alameda Road.
