Alana Karin is a new unique singer/songwriter from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Alana Karin began singing and writing music at a very young age. In fact her parents can remember her spending many days outside their country home observing the surrounding forest and making up lyrics and songs describing her fascinations. Before they new it, Alana Karin was already appearing on stage and performing original music. Classically trained in both piano and voice Alana Karin maintains a profound love and understanding of all music and is able to perform in numerous genres including, R &B, classical, Broadway, jazz, blues, rock and Celtic. In fact her music undeniably reflects a mixture of all these genres. Alana Karin’s music is best described as deep and lyrical. Her sound emanates folk rock with a slight melancholic twist, Above performing original music, for the past five years Alana Karin has been featured in a local hip hop group, Wax Philosophic. This well-known group has made progress on the national scene with one produced album; it’s Fallout (where Alana Karin is featured on 3 tracks), and two music videos, one of which has appeared on Much Music. Alana Karin and JOSHUA WALSH (PRODUCER/ENGINEER) and member of the popular Rock/Industrial band I FORAN I also signed to CRAZYLADY Records are working towards completion of her first full-length album by the end of 2006 with a full list of Distributors.
