| Amber Rubarth has released 'Something New' to the music scene, both literally and figuratively. Tempering a fun, vintage pop sound with her ability to dominate the microphone and let her edgy side out, Rubarth's debut record appeals to both young and seasoned audiences alike. Produced by the innovative production duo The Animators, the album includes ten of Rubarth's original songs, ranging from the anthemic "Rising" to the quirky New Orleans dirge "Two," and the cello and vocal ballad "Underground Angel." It highlights her vocal and guitar prowess, and is backed by some of NYC's finest musicians.
On the road she travels solo, with her guitar slung on her back and keyboard in hand, packing rooms from the Reno Hilton to New York City's Knitting Factory. Through her years of touring she has built a large and loyal following, drawing people in with her raw distinct voice, hook-laden melodies, and mature, progressive lyrics far beyond her youth.
Her talents have been recognized across the country, from Harrah's "Search for the Stars" Guitar Competition to the use of her songs in various film projects, including the San Francisco Film Festival. |
