| AMOK was spawn in 2000 as a grind/thrashmetal band. At that time AMOK consisted of Radek (aka Lava) - guitars/vocals, Stanley - bass/drums. After some months of rehearsing Mord took over the drums. This made amog other things live performances easier.
The bands aim has always been to create a kind of grind/deathmetal which brings forth the old 80's, necro-spirit. Bands that have inspired AMOK are Autopsy, Beherit, VON, Masters Hammer, Carcass and Blaphemy.
AMOK released 2 demos (Sadistic Attack [2001] and LAVA Dictatorship [2002]) and played 3 gigs (Dark Funeral, Aura Noir/Audiopain and Hole In The Sky 2002) before the line-up changed.
Today AMOK consists of Lava (Taake/ex. Aeternus) - guitars/drum-prog., Necrocum (Mysticum/Aborym/Cemetary Droids) - vocals and Iscariah (Necrophagia/Wurdulak/ex. Immortal etc.) - bass.
AMOK released a new promo in 2003 - Effective Mass-Torture. It consists of three songs from LAVA Dictatorship - but with a new vocalist, and one new song with the whole new line-up.
Witchhammer Producation (Thailand) re-released Lava Dictatorship in 2003 as a split cassette with Audiopain, released in 500 handnumbered copies. In 2004, Perverted Taste from Germany re-released Sadistic Attack as a split 10inch EP with Taake (including the bonus outro Ranch Apocalypse), released 1000 copies on grey vinyl.
AMOKs debut album Necrospiritual Deathcore will be released September 2005 on Planet Satan Revolution (www.planetsatanrevolution.com).
