Andy Pratt, born in 1947 to a highly placed family, began playing piano at eight, guitar at twelve, and singing at nineteen. He graduated first in his class from Westminster and with honors from Harvard College, when it was 1968 and revolution was in the air. Over his long career Pratt has released over seventeen albums, beginning in 1971 with “Records are like Life.” Known mostly for his 1973 hit "Avenging Annie, Andy enjoyed fame, success, and the corporate kiss through most of the 1970s but neither all of this nor a series of affairs and marriages satisfied him. He found joy and fulfillment only after he turned to Christianity in 1978 and went through a long healing process. He is now happily married and ready to rock anywhere, anytime. Andy's memoir, "Shiver in the Night," is available at
