Andy Prisco is a local guitarist who performs frequently in the South Sound area. His solo music features special emphasis on use of the slide within blues, rock, and funky grooves, the majority of which are improvised on the fly and looped with a small digital recorder.
While some tunes are strictly solo instrumentals, most sound like a trio or quartet due to layered harmony and rhythm parts that he performs and loops, right on the spot.
Always original, his performances are rich and dynamic featuring improvisations that range from sounds of the Western Frontier to Chicago Blues.
He performs at Nisqually Coffee Cafe on Anderson Island, every Sunday from 10:00AM to Noon.
