Physically weak guys with bad teeth and long fingernails like to hang out in the dark, so the Anemic Boyfriends went to Anchorage, Alaska during the recent midwinter solstice to record their first single, "Guys Are Not Proud"/"Bad Girls In Love."
This single possesses enough wide-ranging sensibilities to appeal to everyone. the plaintive teenaged sentiments of "Bad Girls In Love" appeals to kids, while the feminist sensibilities lurking in "Guys Are Not Proud" literally scream out to the jaded veterans of numerous disappointing encounters.
the Anemic Boyfriends was formed in 1978 by musicians who make their living playing in other, well-known bands. They must remain anonymous at present, but the only two members worth looking at anyway are teenaged lead vocalist Louise Disease and bassist Dickie Deficient, a Sausalito resident who is also currently collaborating on "The Endangered Species Cookbook."
The main long-term goal of the group as a whole is to create a new catch word or phrase in the English language. |
