| Ant Man Bee are a 4-piece Brighton based band, their sound has been described as “spiky disco-biscuit rock” by Latest magazine and they are rapidly becoming one of the area’s most exciting up and coming bands. Their songs are a unique mix of indie, rock and funk, which puts a fresh face on the current Brighton music scene. The band played a gig at the Roundabout in Worthing and reviewed: "This indie four-piece were making a Worthing debut, and their set of well-written songs - full of depth and texture - were well performed."
The Brighton magazine Source even reviewed a Minidisc recording of an Ant Man Bee rehearsal in their August issue. "A rehearsal recorded on Minidisc rather than a real demo. The three tracks included - a tight funk-based opener, a more straight-rock middle number and a strong, mellow closing song - reveal a band with promise."
The band have more recently been heard making a buzz on Juice FM and BBC Southern Counties radio.
Ant Man Bee was formed in November 2003 and consists of Andrew Motley on vocals, Lozzie Yeates on drums, Scratch Mee on bass and Louis May on guitar. And since then have gone on to play various gigs in and around Brighton. These include headling performances at the Komedia, the Pressure Point and playing to 400 people at the recent Tsunami Benefit at Lewes Town Hall.
The Bee are currently at work on their first E.P.
