Having spent over a year working together in a cover band, Kent McKenzie and Al Costa felt the time was right to start an original project.
The vision for this project was based on a no rules approach. They wanted to write music not limited by style or even instrumentation.
They wanted a band in which all the members would contribute to the creative process. They began writing bits and pieces of songs and started searching for individuals who were as open-minded as they were. A series of internet ads were placed and auditions held.
The first member to join the team was Jeff Suarez. We call him suaman (swaman). Suaman originally joined the band as a guitarist but later switched to bass to fill the need. His enthusiasm and willingness to take whatever steps necessary to move forward proved to be valuable assets. The final member to join was Jill Arnold. A veteran karaoke singer, Jill's soulful and powerful voice added the final, vital missing piece to the puzzle needed to create and rehearse the songs. Each week, the foursome polish their music, handing suggestions, comments and criticisms back and forth, striving to make each song the best it can be.
This foursome is Anticement.
Look for them, They'll be looking for you. |
