"Hailing from London, Arthur Milton began his recording and performing career in Cardiff before rapidly departing back to the smoggy South East. Since returning to London he has been playing around various watering holes perfecting and polishing his repetoire.
From the moment the first chords echo from the guitar I am reminded of cowboys, the old school, Old west kind. The ones who travelled vast expanses of space, their voices bringing memories of cigarettes, wood smoke and lonely nights in occasional bars, occasional towns and indifferent hotel rooms where past inhabitants story's are written on the walls.
Milton’s music brings energy storms out of the vibrating strings, a fusion of Old West, Blues and suburbia, with all its malaise of youth. His voice breathes whiskey and roll ups, a passionate blend of genuine talent and raw sex, think Tom Waits mixed with some Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and Lou Reed.
Raw, open, connected, and intense. It’s a sound that's its own, yet familiar, songs that speak to our own experiences and emotions.
His new mini-album "Method For Modern Living" is due to be released in mid-September by Arthur, and will be available on CD by emailing Milton directly, or via ITunes and Amazon MP3 "
