Artist Info: www.ashrocks.com
Ash is from the UK and is influenced by classic rock bands such as Motley Crue, Thunder, Guns n Roses, AC/DC, & Thin Lizzy etc. and he's inspired by guitarists such as Randy Rhodes, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Richard Beaumont (his tutor).
The new collection of songs are an exciting result of Ash being let off the lead to experiment with his own brand of technically brilliant rock-based compositions, which ooze maturity and passion for one so young. Ash's involvement in all stages of recording and production also help to give the tracks his own unmistakable trademark sound. For more info about Ash and the band, visit the website above.
Artist History
Ash was born 15th April 1988 and lives in the UK. He has a quiet nature, choosing to express himself through his music. He attended Kingswood Secondary School in Corby and enjoys art and listening to his favourite bands.
A member of The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, he is currently studying Music Production and Technology at Northampton College. He is also under the instruction of guitar tutor Richard Beaumont studying advanced music theory, and is putting this knowledge to good use by giving guitar lessons of his own.
Ash took up playing the guitar at the age of 9 and cut his first 4-track CD of his own material when he was 14 At this time he took a job at weekends helping out in a busy kitchen and saved enough money to buy himself his first Gibson, which proved to be a great inspiration so early in his career.
In 2001 he formed the band "Corby" (then named "Axis") who were later signed to a small London label. As a special present to celebrate this occasion, his older brother, also being an accomplished guitarist, presented Ash with his favourite guitar, the SG, which quickly became Ash's trademark.... he hasn't played any other guitar since.
Ash found himself recording in many studios around the country with experienced producers and songwriters. The experience Ash gained from working with those people, set the seeds for his love of arrangement and production, which he left "Corby" to pursue. He has no contractual obligations at present.
A new album of Ash's latest material is well underway, recorded and produced at his studio The Hideout (www.the-hideout.co.uk) and he's now looking forward to performing the new tracks live in 2006 with his newly-forming band. Ash now has a catologue of over 100 songs in various stages of completion and is adding to this constantly, so it looks like the new CD will be the first of many!
