Crown Point Indiana not exactly a musical hub but more of a sleepy mid western town just the right location for the newest musical gem to emerge from. Allow us to introduce the world to Asteria. Terrence Kline, Seth Henderson, Ryan Gullet, Brandon Mcquen, and Sam Henderson having been building a rabid fan base in the Midwest since 2004. Asteria weaves a story of youth angst, but delivered in a surprisingly mature style this combined with an infectious yet intricate musical background makes for a musical recipe that will attract listeners across the board.
The Asteria phenomenon is an interesting story in it self, having caught the attention of Hawthorne Heights front man JT Woodruff they were signed to his upstart label Carbon Copy Media. With the label undergoing some issues they parted ways amicably. Having such a high profile label sign a band and then release them would be a blow that would sink most bands, not Asteria. They recorded their full length @ Nada Recording Studios with famed producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Midtown, Senses Fail, The Ataris), and as fate would have it Naclerio was so amazed and inspired by the outcome he quickly offered the band a contract with his own Broken English/EastWest/Warner Bros. imprint.
2007 will find Asteria ready to unleash their full length "Slip into Something More Comfortable" to the masses. Full ad campaigns including Alternative Press, AMP, Pure Volume, and Myspace.com, will ensure that Asteria will be one of the bands to watch for in 2007. Extensive touring combined with the push from Broken English/EastWest/Warner Bros. will keep Asteria on the road for the better part of 2007/2008. Asteria a young band with a dream, or better yet a destiny. |
