We came together from what was "Strangelove and the Atomic Toys" when we borrowed the lead guitarist of our drummer's other band Cheap Commercial. Derek helped us out on rhythm and we became The Atomic Dogs. Our name comes from a P-Funk song. (Also: we like the word "atomic")
When this group initially began to play, Gio and Colin had been jamming together for a while with another drummer and guitarist. They took seperate paths, both to drugs then one to Death Metal, and one to grunge. Nico saw his older brother's bands and decided he wanted to play drums. He learned at a young age and is very talented. He began to play with Gio and Colin 3 years ago and has continued to improve ever since.

Above all else we want to be heard so we like to be as loud as we can be without sounding too shitty. To get this volume we use:

Gio listens to Classic Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Ska, and plain ol' Rock 'n' Roll.
Derek listens to Daft Punk, White Stripes etc.
Colin listens to old school punk and 80's hardcore punk as well as Ska, Rockabilly, and Thrash.
Nico listens to the same shit as Colin.
