Eccentric but accessible, wierd but immediate electronic-acoustic blend from a one man band.
A mad blend of instruments: Autoharp, Mbira, Cello (bowed & played like mini double bass), organ, home made percussion, dirty electronica, phat bass, rag-tag percussion, all sorts!
I love old, broken instruments with character. The autoharp had a spider living in the soundbox for a while, the cello is so beaten up it adds it's own grimy sound to procedings.
Mostly instrumental, but often with off kilter, expressive lyrics sung with the deepest voice you've heard in a long time.
Signed to Alternative Blueprint records, the debut e.p. Ejector seat blues comes out in April 2006.
