Our band is a technical, speedy, melodic, skate punk band with a little metal mixed in. Forming piece by piece over the last 2yrs, we have finally set ground with 5 extremely motivated members. Justin (formally the Bass player Crotch Rockets) & Leah Kenady (Justin's O' Lady) started it all about 2yrs ago playing on an electric drum set and a little Crate t120 in there bedroom. Mind you this room was only an 8x10 room to begin with. Justin improving on the drums quite quickly and Leah finally able to share her music, decided to make the next move and start the hunt for what would be “Axe To Grind”. Destiny prevailed when Paul McNay returned from Toronto, Canada to his home away from home, in Tampa, FL. Meeting up with him out of the blue at a local bar, we told him what we had going on and asked him to come check us out. He jammed with us 1 time and that was a dun deal. Our styles were meant to be… band member 3 was here! After seeking a bass player and singer for many months, we met up with Danny Day and his amazing skills on the bass. No question’s asked he was what we needed to complete the foundation. His brother Patrick joined in the mix the same time, giving us vocals. Singing for us in “One Up” for about 8mo or so, we decided to begin looking for another singer. Although Pat's singing was great, lack of motivation and time seemed to take its toll and we had to begin the search for another vocalist. After searching again for that final piece, we met Rob. Having as much motivation and drive as the rest of us, along with the vocal skills we were looking for, it didn’t take long for us to decide on taking him on as our 5th and final member. He has been singing for us for 8 months or so and we are progressing very rapidly.

Due to some creative differences our bass player decided to leave the band. He will be missed, but we are very happy to have one of our long time friends Eddy Dodson (formally of the Crotch Rockets) join the crew. He is an excellant guitar player and I'm sure will work out very well as our new bassist. We will be working hard to get some new material out and get back in the swing of things ....so once again... be on the look out, cuz were coming on fast and strong and we’ve got an Axe to Grind. |
