Based out of New York City, BACCI blends elements of acoustic folk and old school hip-hop to form an acoustic electronic union.
Formed in 2002 by guitarist/vocalist Peter Bagale and drummer Paul Amorese, BACCI (pronounced: "bah-chee") has since teamed up with bassist Chris Northington and Brooklyns own D.J. Rob Flow from The Chappelle Show (question: what is, a lucy?). Since their debut CD release, Hey Girl, BACCI have often been referred to as the musical love child of the Fun Loving Criminals and Jack Johnson.
The bands' recent release, "More," was engineered by Jamie Siegel (Lauryn Hill , Mary J. Blige) and features special guest Jason Mercer (Ani Difranco, Ron Sexsmith) on the low end.
On April 20th, 2006 BACCI was featured on XM Radio's 'The Radar Report" (ch.43) and added to the iTunes Music Store. The Los Angeles based, A&R Select, was tuned in and is currently work with Bacci to commercially license tracks.
UPDATE: A&R Select has secured a licensing deal with MTV for two tracks from Bacci's recent release, More.
While consistently building a loyal fan base, BACCI continues to tour the Northeast. The group has opened for national recording artist Teitur and have established residency at New York Citys own K-Lounge with guests ranging from Taye Diggs to Puff Daddy. |
