Beyond Music is Peter Freund. Since about the age of 12 I have enjoyed writing music. Although I have been influenced by various new age artists as well as by contemporary saxophone players and pop music, my compositions are somewhat unique. Much like Semtana, I view music as a vehicle for capturing moments in time, and especially for capturing emotion. Ultimately, I believe music points to a greater reality. This is why I prefer the title Beyond Music. It is music that is not just meant to be listened for its own sake, but is best understood in the context of pointing to something greater than itself, and trying to capture that truth itself in the music, which is no easy task. Although the music is purely instrumental, the focus of every song is a strong melodic idea. My music has been described by others as a mix between Robtert Miles and Yanni.
