Big Prophet is an artist from Birmingham, AL, whom you may have recognized from several walks of life. A young man raised by a single parent in a low-income home with four other siblings. He was adopted by his aunt at the age of seven and began working in his uncle’s neighborhood store. At the Age of seven, he was raised to be an Entrepreneur. Unfortunately, it all ended to soon with the death of his uncle when he was 12. Following the death of his uncle the aunt whom adopted, him turned to drugs. Big Prophet was left with no one to guide or lead him in the right direction with his home situation still the same.
By this time, his older brother and cousin were teenagers and already established in the family business (selling high volumes of Cocaine). Big Prophet never wanted to get involved with the selling of drugs, but with no place to go and with idle time he began to hang out where his folks dealt drugs. In his mind, he was innocently pasting time by hanging out with his family. Through peer pressure and persuasion Big Prophet started selling drugs and perfected it instantly. In only a couple of months he packed his bags at the age of thirteen and moved out on his own living from hotel to hotel. By the time, he was sixteen; Big Prophet had his own apartment and was known in the streets to be a drug King Pin supplying different cities. He was worth a little better than $100,000. Soon after, he was arrested and tried as an adult facing 20 years in prison. Big Prophet decided to give up, he remembers waking up in his cell sweating and crying out remembering his grandmother saying “Baby, if you’re ever in trouble call on Jesus”, with out shame he called on the Lord Jesus. At that moment, the Spirit of God influenced him to write the Judge. The letter (in tell his true testimony) was so anointed that she was moved with compassion and over turned his sentence giving him only 6 months. (WOW!)
Today, Big PropheT has been called to a full time ministry under the umbrella of Special Forces for Jesus Outreach Ministry Pastor Sherry and Evelyn Conner. Which is a very profound ministry dealing mostly with x-offenders and cast ways. Now what you have read is only the surface of Big Prophets’ testimony, but he hopes to share this great message with your Flock. Not only through testimony but also through his music from his CD which you may have heard on the radio. He has the #1 hit single entitled “God is Love” AND NOW # 2 IN THE TOP 10 "IT IS WHAT IT IS". He has appeared on the Bobby Jones Gospel show, he also attended the Stellar Awards. He has a movie releasing this fall directed by Christopher “Play” Martin from the rap duo Kid-N-Play, and the House Party movies, named “Bro. Lanes Last Call.”
Big Prophet is the first Gospel Artist ever from Birmingham to sign to a major record label. He’s signed to Jizfat Gospeltainment out of New Jersey which is owned by Pastor B. B. Jay who is FORMALLY OF Jive -Verity -Zomba Records known from Hezekiah Walker’s “Lets Dance” song and Mary, Mary’s “I Sing” AND HIS SOLO PROJECT "UNIVERSAL CONCUSSION.
