| Bigheads started in 1998 when Damion Lyn and John Massey started recording freestyles in John's mother's basement. The two went on to write hundreds of songs together and form the crew known as Bigheads, Lynx and Bassillisk. Hard times struck the band members in their personal lives and they split for a time with Bassillisk moving to LA while Lynx remained in Philly. Both were just getting by but they kept in touch while continuing to work on evolving their vocal styles. After a bad business deal fell through, Bass moved back to Philly and started to build a low budget production studio in his West Philly apartment. Upon reuniting Bass and Lynx began to record an album in the cramped space of the West Philly spot. It was so hot in the summer that breaks had to be taken to let the equipment cool down. The vocal sessions were hell because the windows had to be closed and the fans turned off. As the album progressed, the spot moved to a slightly better apartment with AC. Heads finished 30 songs for the project and linked up with Steph Pockets and Michael Fountain aka Bump. Bump recorded the final tracks you can purchase on ISOUND. Steph Pockets is featured on Reflectin Dis Inna Bein. The album was completed in May 2007. It is compiled of these 18 tracks. |
