when achy breaky came out most people thought it was a fluke. Billy Ray wasn't worth listening too. But when people sat down and listened they heard something great. I took an girlfriend to his concert, when he sang Some Gave All, she cried. She had been in the service and was greatful for that song. Many years later I happened to see and meet him while working in a truck stop in Kentucky. He was so real. He had his little girl with him and kept calling her Charlie Brown. I saw truck drivers going up to him and saying how muuch they enjoyed his show (Doc) and his music. He was kind enough to personally autograph pictures for each of cashiers that night. That to me is a true star. He took time for us fans and enjoyed it. Thank you, Billy Ray.
