Bing Crosby was born as Harry Lillis Crosby on May 3rd 1903 in Tacoma, Washington. Bing was a famous actor and singer who was one of the most popular vocal artists of all time. Harry Lillis got his nickname Bing from a television show he watched as a child called Bingo. All of his friends called him Bing and his nickname just stuck with him. Bing first started singing at his highschool jazz band and then he sang at a university with his friend, Al Rinker. During his life, Bing had made 55 full length movies and 23 of them were box office hits during the year of their release. Bing died on October 14, 1977 from a massive heart attack while on a golf course in Madrid, Spain. He was a legend and will never be forgotten.
