| Bitterdoji is composed of four gentlemen whose goal is to create a supersonic sound that sets them apart from the rest. Bitterdoji started as a simple rock band that transformed into a phenomenon almost immediately. Their sound combines a post hardcore feel to funk and jazz. You could compare Bitterdoji’s sound to a mixture of Incubus and Glassjaw. The combination of strong catchy riffs, crazy bass slapping together with electrifying beats and smooth melodic vocals creates a sound like no other and who could only be credited to the talented members of bitterdoji who include Marcus Fernandes (vocal), Devon Culiner (guitar), Louie Felix (bass) and Eric Bassan (Drums).
Bitterdoji was officially brought together in the late summer of 2002 in North Miami Beach. The story of how these guys came together is a great one, but it can all be summed up for you in one word, fate. In 2003 they released there first self titled EP which started a whole new extreme for Bitterdoji. They started playing everywhere and with anyone they could, ranging from a dozen rock festivals to local pubs around the scene, gaining fans and friends from every direction where ever they went. Their explosive performance has also been a key in the bands success, having all surroundings detonate in an extreme of bone crushing madness. Fate has brought these guys together and they’ve been taking it all in since the first note was played together.
In 2004 Bitterdoji released there second EP “The Double Felix”, emerging their sound as musicians. With eight recorded tracks in a one year span, bitterdoji has had the privilege to record their latest EP with producer Carlos Paucar who has worked with Warner Bros, Interscope, BMG and Universal Records. Paucar has also recorded tracks and albums for Enrique Iglesius, Shakira and currently, Lionel Richie. Bitterdoji’s effort to create a radical new sound has inevitably been achieved.
